Religious Freedom Sunday (January 15, 2017)

"Proclaim liberty throughout the land." Lev. 25:10

Anticipating the President's annual proclamation

of RELIGIOUS FREEDOM DAY (January 16)

Religious Freedom Sunday is a joint project of Gateways to Better Education and the Alliance Defending Freedom.

A two-minute pulpit announcement can bring religious freedom to your local schools!

Religious Freedom Sunday is a national event in which churches inform parents, students, and educators within their congregations about the freedom of religious expression students from kindergarten through twelfth grade have at school. In 2017, the President's proclamation of Religious Freedom Day (Jan. 16) also falls on Martin Luther King Day. (NOTE: Your church could also promote students' religious freedom of expression on Sunday, January 22, as a response to the President's proclamation).
